Drip Irrigation

DRIP Irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation system that saves water by allowing water to DRIP slowly to the roots of plants, either from above the soil surface or buried below the surface. The goal of a DRIP Irrigation system is to place water directly into the root zone and minimize evaporation. By delivering water via DRIP Irrigation to the root zones we water with greater efficiency for healthier plants while saving water (and minimizing weed growth).

DRIP Irrigation Efficiency

DRIP Irrigation is the most efficient and effective way to water plants and trees. DRIP is easy to install, easy to modify as your yard changes over time, and can reduce disease problems associated with excessive moisture on some plants. There are THREE main advantages to using a properly installed DRIP Irrigation system.

  1. DRIP Irrigation soaks into the soil before it can evaporate
  2. DRIP Irrigation soaks into the soil before it can run off
  3. DRIP Irrigation is applied only where it is needed (at the root zone)

How Long Has DRIP Irrigation Been Around?

DRIP Irrigation has been around since 1959 - it was invented by Simcha Blass from Poland. In the early 1960s, Blass developed and patented this method and the new dripper was the first surface DRIP Irrigation emitter G

DRIP Irrigation Trivia 4U

DRIP Irrigation has become the norm, especially in the SouthWest. The hot dry climate is an ideal region to use DRIP Irrigation. Daren moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1996 and started doing DRIP Irrigation and eventually started a Landscape company called, none other than: DRIP LLC. DRIP stood for Daren Randoll Irrigation of Phoenix. Daren spent 10 years in Phoenix mastering DRIP Irrigation, Pavers, Sprinklers & Sod, Low Voltage Lighting and Artificial Turf (and of course we did a just a few desert scape projects.) Daren and his wife moved back to Capitola in 2006.
